Turn Action into Social Impact

About Impact Bridge

Platform for Cross Sector Collaborations

Impact Bridge is a platform for cross-sector collaborations between corporates and social enterprises (SEs), operated by the Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES). Built on the M.O.V.E.R. model – Marketing Social Mission, Outsourcing Business Process, Volunteer Support & Coaching, Ethical Consumption, and Resources Sponsorship / Sharing – it turns everyday corporate procurement and collaboration into documented, reportable social impact. The platform delivers this through four core functions:

1

Smart Filters Matching

Discover SE products, services and social missions, together with proven past collaboration track records.

2

A central hub for sales and service enquiries, procurement order management, impact data tracking and consolidated impact reports.

3

4

What is a Social Enterprise

A business model with a social purpose

Hong Kong has no single statutory definition of a social enterprise and no dedicated registration regime. According to the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau's Social Enterprise website, a social enterprise is generally a business that pursues specific social objectives, such as providing products or services needed by the community, creating employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged groups, or protecting the environment. Profits are principally reinvested in the business to sustain those objectives, rather than distributed to maximise shareholder returns.

Some social enterprise bodies and the SEE Mark endorsement apply a more specific benchmark: not less than 65% of distributable profits reinvested in the social purpose. The SEE Mark is an industry endorsement, not a government licence.

A social enterprise differs from a charity: charities rely primarily on donations, whereas social enterprises generate revenue from the sale of products and services. When assessing social enterprise suppliers, procurement teams should consider the products and services offered, the intended beneficiaries, how surplus is reinvested, and the availability of credible public information.

How We Work

From sourcing to collaboration records

1

Browse or match

Corporates can browse gift and service procurement solutions, or submit budget, use case and timeline through Smart Matching for the platform to identify suitable social enterprise suppliers.

2

Request quotes and procure

Registered corporates can issue enquiries, compare quotations, and track orders and delivery.

3

Report impact

On completion, the corporate and the social enterprise each submit data in the Impact Dashboard under the M.O.V.E.R. model.

4

Verify and apply

On-platform data verified by FSES is included in the Impact Dashboard and annual impact reporting, and can be imported automatically into the Nomination Center. Off-platform collaborations used for nominations must be entered separately in the Nomination Center and marked as self-reported; such data is used for nominations only and is excluded from the Impact Dashboard and reports.

M.O.V.E.R. Model

A single framework for collaboration records

Collaboration between corporates and social enterprises often extends beyond a single purchase. The M.O.V.E.R. model enables corporates to record collaboration activity by category:

M

Marketing Social Mission

How the corporate communicates the social enterprise or the collaboration externally.

O

Outsourcing Business Process

Work outsourced to social enterprises and its value.

V

Volunteer Support & Coaching

Volunteer headcount, hours and activities.

E

Ethical Consumption

Procurement spend with social enterprises; platform order data can pre-fill amounts.

R

Resources Sponsorship / Sharing

In-kind contributions such as venues, materials and professional services.

SE-side figures (such as related wages, number of beneficiaries and training hours) are reported by the social enterprise.

Actual transactionsReporting by both partiesFSES verification

M.O.V.E.R. data is based on actual transactions, reporting by both parties and verification by FSES. This verification is an internal platform process and does not constitute independent assurance. Impact Bridge does not state return-on-investment multiples for any collaboration.
